Celebrating Willow and her beautiful heart for nature!

After learning about our Bowning frog homes, Willow was so inspired that she went home and created her very own safe places for frogs. What an incredible example of taking classroom learning into the real world!

Pulse Alive is a vibrant celebration of creativity, connection, and opportunity in the performing arts, showcasing thousands of singers, dancers, actors, and musicians from NSW public schools. Bringing together students from metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities, this exciting arena event celebrates diversity, fosters inclusion, and builds a strong sense of belonging. Pulse Alive isn’t just a show – it’s a life-changing experience where every student has the chance to be celebrated.

Pulse Alive provides performance opportunities for students of all abilities from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Wattle Day Celebrations- Bowning- Bookham Landcare Group - September 2025

Today we’re celebrating the golden blooms of our national floral emblem and the wonderful work of Bowning Landcare in looking after our local environment.

Nothing says community spirit like gathering together under the wattles, sharing stories, and enjoying something delicious. This year we’re treating ourselves to a very Aussie twist – banana and wattle seed cake – the perfect combination of local flavour and sweetness!

A big thank you to Bowning Landcare for continuing to nurture our bushland and inspire our students and families to connect with nature.

Podcasting Sessions - September 2025

Our students have been stepping into the world of podcasting! From brainstorming ideas, writing scripts, and recording episodes, they’re developing their voices and learning the power of storytelling.

Podcasting at Bowning isn’t just about technology—it’s about confidence, creativity, and communication. Students are exploring topics that matter to them, from fun facts and interviews to local history and school news.

We can’t wait to share some of their episodes with you soon—keep an ear out for the voices of Bowning students coming through loud and clear!

Regional Athletics in Wollongong  - September 2025

A huge congratulations to our students who proudly represented Bowning Public School at the Regional Athletics Carnival in Wollongong!

Thank you to our families for your support and encouragement – it makes these opportunities possible. We are so proud of the way our students continue to shine and we hope these make last memories.

Congratulations to this absolute SUPERSTAR who is now not only off to National Swimming he is off to State Athletics!! We could not be more proud.

Tee ball Arabin Cup – What an Amazing Day!

What a fantastic day our students had at the Tee ball Arabin Cup! From the very first hit to the last run home, the energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship on display were incredible.

Well done to all our Tee ball stars – you should be so proud of your efforts. We can’t wait for the next Arabin Cup!

Ambulance Visit - August 2025

Today our students had a special visit from NSW Ambulance. They explored the ambulance, heard the sirens and learnt how paramedics help in emergencies.

A big thank you to our paramedics for this exciting learning experience!

Book Parade Fun in Yass!  - August 2025

What a fantastic day celebrating books with our parade down Yass Street! A big thank you to the Mayor for the lovely chat along the way, and to everyone who joined us for a stop at Riverbank Park.

Huge thanks to our amazing dad traffic controllers and staff who kept everything running smoothly, and to Yass Library for welcoming us so warmly.

Canberra Reptile Zoo - August 2025

Reptile Adventures for Bowning School!

Today our students had an amazing opportunity to visit the Canberra Reptile Zoo. It was an intimate, hands-on experience where students were able to hold and learn about some incredible creatures — including a crocodile, snakes, lizards, and even a turtle!

The excitement (and bravery!) was clear on everyone’s faces as they got up close with these fascinating animals. Experiences like this bring learning to life, spark curiosity, and give our students memories they’ll never forget.
